Plain Jane Knits Up A Storm

A few musings about my needlecraft hobbies - knitting, crocheting, quilting, & cross-stitch along with my other love, genealogy. While growing up, I used to HATE the term "Plain Jane", but when it comes to knitting & crocheting, I've realized that I really *am* a Plain Jane in that I don't use fancy yarns.

Yet Another Month Gone By..

These are the latest of the toddler sweaters:

They're nice projects for warm weather as they're small. I have two more on the needles - one ready for the shoulder/neck bind-off & one where I ran out of yarn about 6 rows short. I'm pretty sure that there's another skein of the turquoise I'm using in the yarn cupboard at the Sr. Center so I'll set that one aside until Thursday & get a start on a couple more bodies up to the armholes. I also have another lap-robe that I'm crocheting that's over half done, but I've only been working on it during the meager summer offerings on TV as it's too difficult to keep switching it around when I have a book in my lap. We're in the middle of a heatwave though it's not as bad as the east coast is getting. Still, I'm going to stay hunkered down inside with a fan & lots of ice water..
