Plain Jane Knits Up A Storm

A few musings about my needlecraft hobbies - knitting, crocheting, quilting, & cross-stitch along with my other love, genealogy. While growing up, I used to HATE the term "Plain Jane", but when it comes to knitting & crocheting, I've realized that I really *am* a Plain Jane in that I don't use fancy yarns.

K4 Thursday

Our K4 group met this afternoon. There were seven of us there today. Marian & Jean had made crocheted scarves to go with 5 of the hats I've been making so 6 more hat & scarf sets (including Jean's first knit hat) went into bin that will go to the Veterans Shelter in Detroit. It's a medium size bin and it's almost full so probably next week we'll need to start another one or switch to a larger sized bin. We're working toward a mid-November deadline when Gloria will be going to the shelter again and be able to deliver everything. I cast on for a garter stitch scarf to go with one of the smoky blue hats I finished - hopefully, I'll get it and another one done by next Monday and then go back to hats which are my favorite projects.
